a lot of people write me a lot of emails about all the bullshit they go through with their loved ones ...
i guess they figure that because i sit still and draw all day every day that, from time to time, the secrets of the universe pass across my field of vision or something.
but those people are mislead.
they're looking outside themselves for something they could find by just glancing inward.
all i know is that there's wisdom in experience.
and figuring out what you don't want is always a good thing.
i think when it comes to getting closer to someone, the fact remains that relationships can only exist between two people.
emma has a relationship with tina, and lubavec and penny have relationships with each and every one of their clients - but only as individuals.
you, dear visitor, and i, even have a relationship on account of your being a guest in my environment ... this little web page of doodles and nonsense.
so that's all there is to it. a relationship is just two people communicating ... or at least trying to.
and of course, no comment is always a strong statement.
so, whether you're punch drunk or just buddy buddy, honour the other person's boundaries, treat them fairly and protect their right to privacy. be courteous, attentive, respectful and discrete ... and you can bet that things will turn out just fine.
but ... if your friend or lover starts behaving badly, cut 'em loose.
life's too short for nonsense and there's someone out there for everyone ...
so why waste your precious time?
then again, what do i know?
maybe these are just the words of a daytime drinker ...
